Recently there has been a viral video about a cat saving a baby from a dog. This is not the first story I’ve heard of hero cats coming to the rescue for their faithful owners. While not as big or as blindly obedient as dogs, they certainly know how to be loyal.
In case you haven’t seen it yet, below is the most recent cat saviour video of a child being saved from a dog.
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen something like this either. Back in 2011 a cat saved his human from the perceived threat of a babysitter.
This cat saved her owner from a pit bull attack in 2010.
Back on 2009 I heard about this boy in Argentina who was found being protected by a pack of cats.
The boy and his father were homeless and while the father was out collecting cardboard to sell, they were separated. Police officer Alicia Lorena Lindgvist found the boy several days later snuggled up with 8 cats to keep warm.
The boy was even seen eating scraps foraged by his feline friends while they licked him. And they hissed as police approached the child.
In an interview with The Sun Officer Alicia Lorena Lindgvist said:
‘I was walking and noticed a gang of cats sitting very close together. It is unusual to see so many like that so I went for a closer look and that’s where I saw him. ‘The boy was lying at the bottom of a gutter. There were all these cats on top of him licking him because he was really dirty. When I walked over they became really protective and spat at me. They were keeping the boy warm while he slept.”
The officer, who noticed scraps of food near the boy in the Christ King district, also told The Sun: ‘The cats knew he was fragile and needed protecting.’
